First Basketball Game
Burmese students explore American sports

Most of the students at Kellogg Community College have seen a basketball game, but not the students in Ms. Weller’s English 96 class. The students enrolled in English 96 are learning English as their second language. They are all from Burma. None of the students had seen a basketball game before the one on Wednesday, February 24 when Kellogg Community College took on Muskegon Community College. Here is their story:

Renowned children's author to visit campus

Patricia Polacco, world-renowned children’s book author and illustrator, will lead a literacy workshop on Thursday, April 22.

The Kellogg Community College Early Childhood Education Program and the South Central Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children (SCMiAEYC) are collaborating to host this year’s annual Spring Fling. The event will be held at Kellogg Community College’s Battle Creek campus, in the Binda Performing Arts Center. It is free and open to the public.
