End of an Era:
Dr. Haring says goodbye

William Cook
Assistant Editor

After a long run at KCC, Dr. Haring will be retiring this year as president of the institution.
Haring has been at KCC since 1987 and has held several different positions at the college other than president, including Provost, Executive VP of Instruction and Student Services, and Vice President of Instruction.

“I came here {the college} thinking I’d probably be here five or six years but the college has been so dynamic since I’ve been here, every five years or so it was like being in a new place” says Haring.

When asked, Dr. Haring described his greatest achievements at KCC as the general growth of the school, particularly in programming and outreach. Haring cited the new campuses and branches as part of the successful outreach of the college. Dr. Haring also stated that he has no real regrets over the time he has been at KCC.
