Dr. Dennis Bona, now President of KCC, was formerly the College's Vice President for Instruction. Prior to that, he held various positions at KCC, including Dean of Career and Occupational Education,
Director of the Regional Manufacturing and Technology Center, Director of Trades and Technology, and Instructional Manager of Industrial Welding. He has also worked as an adjunct faculty member at Michigan State University and Western Michigan University, as a professional consultant, a grant writer, and a presenter/speaker. Dr. Bona received an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Welding Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Trade and Technical Education from Ferris State University, and a Master's and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. |

Dr. Kay Keck serves as the Vice President of Student Services at KCC. Her career at the college includes positions held as Dean of Enrollment Management, Registrar, and in Financial Aid. Keck earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Western Michigan University where her doctoral work focused on student retention in the community college. She is a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and earned an associate degree from Kellogg Community College, a bachelor's degree from Spring Arbor University, and a master's degree from Central Michigan University. She has also completed the 2002 Michigan Leadership Institute and the 2009 Battle Creek Area Leadership Challenge. Keck is a life-long resident of Battle Creek where she lives with her husband, John.

Mark O'Connell is the Vice President of Administration & Finance for KCC. He has served the College in several administrative positions during his over 20 years of service. A former Director of the College's Business Development Center, he spent several years specializing in business planning. O'Connell received a Business Counselor Certification from Wayne State University School of Business and holds a master's degree in Education Administration from Western Michigan University. In addition to his private sector business experience, he has taught business classes for KCC, Siena Heights University, Western Michigan University and Wayne State University. His business planning guide, "Starting Your Own Business," was published in 1993. In the mid 1990's he developed business plans for the College to allow for the College's planned expansion in both Branch and Barry Counties. He and his wife Janet have lived and been active in the Marshall community for over forty years and have two sons.

Catherine Hendler is the Vice President for Instruction. She previously served as the College's Chief Information Officer. Prior to coming to KCC in 2005, Hendler held various leadership positions in Information Technology at Albion College, focusing on the instructional use of technology. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, New York and a Master's degree from Syracuse University in the field of Molecular Genetics. Hendler is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. She enjoys living in and being active in the Marshall community. |
