It is said that the study of physics is the basis and building block for all the other sciences. KCC offers courses that provide a solid background for understanding our world, big and small. The knowledge of physics provides the foundation for many high-demand, high-paying career fields from engineering to the medical field. We offer both algebra- and calculus-based classes.
Here’s what some of our alumni have to say about their studies at KCC.
Eric Renner, Mechanical Engineer at Caterpillar Proving Grounds, Arizona
“KCC are a quality group who really care about their subjects and the students they are teaching. Because of them, I have a solid foundation for my engineering career.”
“Kellogg Community College has helped me not only prepare for a four year university but also an engineering internship. On a recent interview with Stryker, the interviewers were impressed with engineering physics methods and techniques that I learned while in KCC’s Physics classes. Additionally, the work ethic that I learned in calculus has helped me succeed and thrive in the engineering program at Western Michigan University.”
James Lee Sheldon, graduate of Mechanical Engineering at WMU
“The math and physics departments at KCC are second to none; the wealth of knowledge is astounding. I changed my major thanks to a discovery of a love for physics and critical thinking that was uncovered by a KCC professor. You will have everything you need to be successful in Engineering at a university and you will have a noticeable advantage over other students who took these courses anywhere else.”
