Public Safety Education

Kellogg Community College’s Public Safety Education Department is home to the College’s Criminal Justice and Emergency Medical Services programs, including the KCC Police Academy. Click through the links below for information about each program.

Criminal Justice

KCC offers certificates and/or degrees in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, and Public Safety, with a Police Academy approved by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES). The College also offers training seminars on a wide variety of topics for in-service criminal justice professionals. Emergency Medical Services

KCC offers an Associate in Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services degree as well as Medical First Responder (MFR), Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, EMS Instructor/Coordinator, and UMBC Critical Care (adult and pediatric) certificates.
