The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program where students may earn college credit by examination. CLEP offers 35 examinations. Successful completion of a CLEP exam may be used as transfer credit for an equivalent KCC course, or results can be sent to other colleges for credit.
Kellogg Community College generally grants credit for scores that meet the recommendations determined by the American Council on Education. KCC operates an open test site, so anyone may take CLEP exams at the test center. CLEP exams are administered only on a prepaid prescheduled basis.
For more information on CLEP exams including exams available and descriptions, visit the College Board’s website. Contact the Testing and Assessment Center to schedule an exam or for credit equivalencies for courses at KCC.
The CLEP fee is $80 per exam paid at the time of registration. There is an administration fee of $20.00 paid the day of the exam at KCC Records and Registration.
The CLEP registration is available at www.collegeboard.org/clep.
