The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program where students may earn college credit by examination. CLEP offers 35 examinations. Successful completion of a CLEP exam may be used as transfer credit for an equivalent KCC course, or results can be sent to other colleges for credit.
Kellogg Community College generally grants credit for scores that meet the recommendations determined by the American Council on Education. KCC operates an open test site, so anyone may take CLEP exams at the test center. CLEP exams are administered only on a prepaid prescheduled basis.
For more information on CLEP exams including exams available and descriptions, visit the College Board’s website. Contact the Testing and Assessment Center for a registration brochure, exam schedule, and credit equivalencies for courses at KCC.
The CLEP fee is $80 per exam. There is an appointment fee of $20.00.
Testing is offered on Mondays and Thurdays. Contact the Testing and Assessment Center office at 269-965-3931 ext. 4136 to schedule your test time.
The CLEP registration form is available at www.collegeboard.com/clep.
