Nurse Aide Competency

Kellogg Community College is a regional test site for Michigan Nurse Assistant Testing. This is an examination for those who have completed their clinical skills training in a nursing assistant program. The exam has very strict guidelines for applicant identification and payment. The examination includes a demonstration of clinical skills and a written portion, which is computer-based.

All testing is processed and scheduled by Prometric. Students wishing to schedule their test should visit Prometric’s Michigan Nurse Aide Exam Web page. Payment must be submitted with application in the form of money order, cashier’s check, sponsoring facility check, credit card, or debit card. No personal checks are accepted. Once Prometric receives and processes the application and payment, the student will receive an email of their testing location, date and time. If the student has chosen KCC as their preferred testing site, their test will most likely take place at 9 a.m. on a Friday in the KCC Nursing Department. Students wishing to reschedule their exam must pay an additional fee to Prometric.

Questions regarding the testing process can be directed to the KCC Nursing Department at 269-660-2318 or by calling Prometric at 800-752-4724.
