Mike Houston advises a student

It is not necessary to meet with an academic advisor each semester. However, it is recommended that you meet with an advisor a couple of times during your first year as a KCC student. It is difficult to remember everything that is important to your success and we would like the opportunity to support your educational goals.

As a returning student, you may want to review:
  • Your Career Choice and Educational Major
  • Four Year Schools and Transfer Information
  • Course Selection and Graduation Time Lines
  • The importance of GPA
  • Student Support Services
  • Educational Plans
  • Community Resources in Academic Advising
Contact academic advisors at: Battle Creek 269-965-4124, Eastern Academic Center 517-630-8169, Fehsenfeld Center 269-948-9500, Grahl Center 517-278-3300 or e-mail the academic advising department.

Academic Advisors are available to assist you with educational planning. This planning may include course selection based on educational goals, career development or skill enhancement. Advisors can assist you with understanding academic process, keys to student success and career exploration. Additionally, Advisors provided resources in career and life planning, setting goals and objectives and time management.
