1. Will my classes transfer to other colleges and universities?
Answer: Many times changing majors and transfer institutions can result in classes that do not transfer. It is important to follow the transfer guides and discuss you options with a KCC academic advisor.
2. Do I need to graduate from KCC with an Associate degree to transfer to another college or university?
Answer: No. At some colleges and universities it may be beneficial to transfer before you complete an associate degree. It is best to discuss you curriculum and the transfer institution with a KCC academic advisor.
3. What is the MACRAO agreement?
Answer: This is an agreement between 2 and 4 year schools that states if you follow the stated outline of classes at the 2 year school it will meet the basic general education classes at the 4 year school.
4. What is the difference between an AS and an AA degree?
Answer: An Associate in Science (AS) degree prepares you to step into your career. You complete selected credits in general education and a major. An Associate in Arts (AA) is a transfer degree. You complete about 32 credits in general education and electives that will support the completion of your major at the transfer school.
