The Academic Advising staff will work with you on defining educational goals, exploring career interest, identifying academic objectives, and developing an educational plan. Defining your career and educational goals includes identifying your aptitude, interest, personality and lifestyle as it relates to the world of work. An educational plan consists of a list of required and suggested courses which leads to a certificate, degree or transfer. New students seeking a certificate or degree are required to discuss with an academic advisor career and academic goals.

Steps to becoming a student:

• Apply to KCC (online or on campus)
• Take Placement Test (Battle Creek campus and centers)
• Schedule an Orientation (register online)
• Contact an Advisor (in person)
• Register for classes (online)
