CMU and Teacher Education Admissions expect its graduates to demonstrate competency in three areas: English Composition, Math and Speech. A grade of "C" or better in the following KCC courses will fulfill these competency requirements: ENGL 152; COMM 101, 207 or 210; MATH 121 or higher (except MATH 153) or BUAD 112. A grade of B- or better in ENGL 151.

PLEASE SEE YOUR COMMUNITY COLLEGE ACADEMIC ADVISOR FOR ASSOCIATE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS.

Students are required to present evidence of at least 90 clock hours of experience working with children or youth prior to their admission to the Teacher Education Program. Please note that 45 of these hours must be done in a classroom setting. A minimum 2.7 CMU gpa must be established to be considered for admission to CMU's Teacher Education Program. This is a limited enrollment program.
