Program of Study
The general education courses include:
English 151, Psychology 201, Communications 101, Sociology 201 and a Creative thinking elective.
Basic science courses include:
Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Emergencies, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Nutrition.
Dental Hygiene courses include: Oral Anatomy, Histology, Radiology, Periodontology, Oral Pathology, Dental Materials, Community Dentistry I and II, Pre-clinical Dental Hygiene, Pain Control, Clinical Dental Hygiene, and Clinical Dental Hygiene Seminars.
Students must maintain a 2.00 grade point average and cannot fail any dental hygiene courses in order to continue in our program. Students with previous college courses of C or better may be able to transfer those credit hours into the program.
