Programs of Study
The general education courses include:
English 151, Psychology 201, Communications 101, Sociology 201 and a Creative thinking elective.
Basic science courses include: Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology
Dental Hygiene courses include: Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office, Oral Anatomy, Histology, Radiography, Periodontics, Pharmacology, Oral Pathology, Dental Materials, Community Dentistry I and II, Nutrition, Pre-clinical Dental Hygiene, Pain Control, Clinical Dental Hygiene, and Clinical Dental Hygiene Theory.
Students must maintain a 2.00 grade point average and achieve a āCā or better in all basic science courses and dental hygiene courses. Students with previous college courses of C or better may be able to transfer those credit hours into the program.
