Applications for the 2009 Radiography Program will be accepted April 1, 2008 through March 1, 2009.
AGE:
Due to potential exposure to ionizing radiation during the program’s clinical education component, applicants must be 18 years of age by July 1, 2009.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Admission to the radiography program is a selective process and considers GPA and ACT score. To be considered for admission to the 2009 radiography program, please complete the following:
- Complete a Kellogg Community College application indicating "Radiography" as the curriculum of choice. The code for the radiography curriculum is 288.
- Provide and ACT or SAT score.
If an applicant has never completed either test, the Academic Advising department can provide test dates and locations. For applicants who hold degrees and have never completed either test, the ACT/SAT requirement will be waived and application points awarded based on level of degree held and GPA.
- Provide official high school transcript
- Provide official college transcripts from all colleges attended.
Application files must be complete by March 1, 2009 containing all the above listed documents. Any incomplete application files will not be considered.

PREREQUISITES:
The folowing two courses are prerequisites for the 2009 Radiography Program.
- MATH 121 Intermediate Algebra - 4 credits
- OIT 227 Medical Terminology - 2 credits
(a 1 credit course will not be accepted)
"Prerequisite" means that the course must be successfully completed by the application deadline of March 1, 2009 for the application to be considered.
AWARDING APPLICATION POINTS:
Application points are awarded according to:
- Successful completion of prerequisites with a grade of "C" or better. *higher grades earn more application points
- High School GPA/GED if less than 12 college credit hours have been completed or
- College GPA if greater than 12 college credit hours have been completed.
- ACT/SAT or Degree/GPA
- Completion of and grade earned in the following courses: BIOL 201, BIOL 202, EMT 110, ENGL 151, COMM 101, PSYC 201, SOCI 201.
*the first three (3) courses listed secure more admission points than the
Remaining four (4).
*completion of these courses is not required for admission.
Any applicant who does not secure a position in the 2009 radiography program must re-apply after April 1st 2009 to be considered for 2010. There is no "waiting list".
