Radiography Program
Courses
The radiography program is a two-year program consisting of four (4) academic semesters and two (2) summer sessions. All semesters and one summer session consist of both classroom lecture and clinical education, while one summer session is clinical education
only. The program's extensive schedule requires the time commitment of a full-time student. The radiography program is accredited by the Joint
Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. Successful completion of the program leads to an Associate in Applied Science and
eligibility to take the national certification examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology earning the credentials of R.T.(R),
ARRT.
Prerequisites
Recommended high school units of study are found in the back of the KCC catalog.
The following two courses are prerequisites for the 2012 radiography program.
- MATH 121 Intermediate Algebra or equivalent course
- OIT 227 Medical Terminology or another college Medical Terminology course of a minimum of one (1) credit hour.
**To meet the prerequisite requirement, courses taken at other institutions must transfer in as the equivalent of the required KCC course.
“Prerequisite” require that the course must be successfully completed and recorded on the transcript by the application deadline of February 1, 2012 for the prerequisite requirement to be met. General Education

Radiography Courses
Radiography courses can only be taken once a student has been accepted and is enrolled in the program.
