The study skills curriculum is designed to create a strong foundation for students returning to college after some time away, or to prepare students for college-level rigor.  Study of particular learning styles, as well as concentrated effort to improve reading comprehension has proven to help students succeed in their academic and occupational coursework.

Teaches Study Skills, and Writing Improvement courses, chaired the KCC Arts and Communication department for seven years; taught Management, and courses at Parkland [Community] College; coordinated Perkins, Core Value, Title III grants implementation; coordinated 2002 KCC self study and site visit when KCC earned 10 years of accreditation.
