Head Coach: Clint Stout

Coach Stout has been at the helm for the Bruins since 2002. He's been known for his high-powered offensive teams, with his 2002-03 team leading the nation in scoring. Coach Stout brings added power to defense and continues his pursuit of excellence for his program. Coach won the BCAM (Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan) 2006-07 junior college Coach of the Year award as well as the MCCAA Western Conference Coach of the Year 2006-07. Coach Stout has helped move players to the next level where athletes have had success both academically and athletically.
The 2006-07 team earned the Western Conference Championship with a record of 13-1, including 13 straight victories. That team finished 25-7 with an NJCAA final poll ranking at 15th in the nation. This same squad was the regional runner-up, losing only to the eventual national champions.
Since 2002, KCC Bruins have been awarded two MCCAA Western Conference Most Valuable Player awards; five have earned All-MCCAA awards; five have earned All-Region XII awards; five have received MCCAA Western First-Team All-Conference awards; and five have won MCCAA Western Second-Team All-Conference awards.
While at KCC, Coach Stout is developing a tradition of excellence both on and off the court, with the team participating in community service projects such as Habitat for Humanity, a reading program at Ann J. Kellogg Elementary School, the Salvation Army soup kitchen, the Haven of Rest homeless shelter volunteer work, and recreation opponents at Lakeland Correctional Facility. Coach Stout continually encourages his players to work hard in the classroom as well as in their personal lives. In addition to coaching at KCC, Coach Stout has volunteered for the Wattles Park Men's Club as a baseball and soccer coach. He has also helped coach for the local Skills and Drills baseball program.
Coach Stout played basketball, football, baseball, and competed in track and field at Tekonsha High School, where he was awarded nine varsity letters, played on five league championship teams, and was voted all-league on three separate occasions. During his junior and senior years, Coach Stout's basketball team went 46-3, including 39 straight regular season wins. For his efforts, Coach Stout was awarded First Team All-State honors. He was then awarded a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Cumberland College (KY). While at Cumberland, Coach Stout _s basketball team won a Kentucky Valley Conference Championship with a 14-0 record. Coach then joined the United States Marine Corps where he played on the All Marine Corps Team. Coach Stout finished his basketball career at Aquinas College under the tutelage of Rick Albro. While at Aquinas, Coach Stout was named to the First Team All-Conference and All-Region teams.
Coach Stout works for the Battle Creek Public Schools when not on campus, is married to Sarah Stout (KCC faculty member) and has two sons, Trevor and Tyler, and a daughter, Josephine.

Coach McKnight has been coaching with Coach Stout for four years and brings extensive knowledge and experience to the staff. He played basketball at Battle Creek Central and was awarded a full-ride scholarship to play at KCC. Coach McKnight started for two-years at Kellogg, then transferred to North Dakota State University where he played for another two years. Coach McKnight has been coaching and refereeing AAU basketball for years, as well as coaching in the community.
Coach McKnight is married to Mari and has one son, Shawn, four daughters, Stephanie, Sheryce, Courtney, and Annyah, step-daughter Kyla, and three grandchildren.
