Art & Yoga
These fun classes will provide your child with a fun, creative, and enriching experience through yoga, games and art projects. Your child will experience the benefits of yoga, discover their creativity in art and have fun! Each month we will have a different seasonal theme including Yoga Nature Adventure (November) and Winter Wonder Yoga (December).

So You Want to Be a Chef
You’ll be a budding chef as you develop culinary skills in a safe and controlled kitchen environment. Join KCC’s own Chef Dave as he teaches you professional food preparation while practicing knife skills, measurements and conversions, ServeSafe food handling practices, and how to cook a meal that everyone will enjoy. Impress your family when you can go home and say, “Dinner is served”! NOTE: Parents, please make sure we are aware of any food allergies before class, as kids will get to taste everything they prepare.

Safe Sitter Essentials: Skills for Babysitting & Staying Home Alone
Do you feel ready to stay home alone, watch your younger siblings, or babysit for younger children? Then this class is for you! Join us to learn the skills you need to care for yourself and younger children. We’ll teach you how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers (such as power failures) or weather emergencies. We’ll also provide tips to help manage behavior, learn about the ages and stages of child development, and practice diapering. In addition, we’ll cover how to screen jobs and discuss fees. At the end of the class you will receive a certificate of completion, a babysitting tool-kit, and the skills you need to be prepared, be responsible, and be considerate, whether you are babysitting for family, friends or the neighbors.

CPR & First Aid
Do you babysit or plan to become a babysitter? Are you a Boy Scout or Girl
Scout looking to earn a new badge? Do you want to be prepared to help anyone that may need it when a medical emergency arises? Then this hands-on class is for you! This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED camp will teach the basics of first aid, CPR, and AED (automatic external defibrillator) skills. We’ll cover treatments for medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies, as well as CPR skills, with a special focus on child and infant CPR and obstructed airway techniques. You will have the opportunity to learn from KCC EMS instructor and train on the College’s state of the art equipment. Plus, you will receive an AHA Certificate of Completion at the end of camp. NOTE: Please bring a lunch.

The Stars: Past & Present
Join us to discover the stars of the past and present! This fun new experience will be held at Kingman Museum, where we’ll begin with a star talk discussing the exact stars in the sky above Battle Creek. Then we’ll watch the Stars of the Pharaohs Planetarium Show, where you’ll learn how the stars tell tales of the gods, and how they were integral to the development of the Egyptians’ most impressive feats of science, including the pyramids! We’ll end our star-powered evening with a hands-on activity.

Cake Decorating: Holiday Cake Extravaganza
Make your holidays jolly by learning how to make Instagram-worthy cakes! We’ll cover the basics of cake decorating, and you’ll get hands-on practice decorating holiday and winter themed cakes, that are bound to make this time of year more merry and bright! NOTE: Parents, please make sure we are aware of any food allergies before class, as kids will get to taste everything they prepare. Baseball: Winter Hitting League
8-week winter hitting league for ages 14-19. Players may sign up as a team (5-7 players) or register as an individual and we’ll place you on a team. Games will be scheduled for once a week, each Sunday and will be 50 minutes in length. Each batter will have 2 swings to record a hit or an out. The team with the most runs wins! Individual and team stats will be recorded. Prizes for league MVP and overall Winning Team!

SAT/ACT Prep Series – Online
Universities and colleges throughout the U.S. require applicants to take the SAT or ACT as part of their evaluation package. This series will prepare you for both tests.
SAT/ACT Prep – Part 1
Both the ACT and the SAT contain verbal and math question types. SAT/ACT Preparation Part I will give you all the information you need to do well on the verbal questions of the ACT and the new SAT. The ACT verbal sections are called the Reading Test, the English Test, and the Science Test. The Reading Test and the English Test assess your knowledge of English usage, grammar, and reading comprehension. This course will provide you with a grammar and usage review specifically geared to the rules that you will be tested on in the ACT. You will also learn how to maximize your time on reading comprehension passages and the passages in the science test.
SAT/ACT Prep – Part 2
Both the ACT and the SAT contain verbal and math question types. SAT/ACT Preparation Part 2 will give you all the information you need to do well on the math questions of the ACT and the new SAT. The ACT math tests your knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and basic statistics. This course provides you with a complete math review of all these subjects. We’ll also show you how to use your time wisely so that you finish as many math questions as possible in the 60 minutes the ACT gives you for the math test.
