Kellogg Community College Bruin Youth Programming initiative is focused on connecting area youth with experiences related to education and careers.

Administered through KCC’s Lifelong Learning Department, BYP expands on the College’s current offerings of sports camps and Bruin Bots robotics initiatives held throughout the year on campuses in Battle Creek, serving kids from first grade through high school.

Summer Music And Theater Camp

The program will provide school age children in grades 5 through 12 an opportunity to develop their musical and theatrical skills through hands on experience. The students will be coached on a variety of topics including group dynamics, mime, creative thinking, creative movement, acting for singers, theatre games, improvisation, vocal health, singing technique, basic music theory, aural development, solo and ensemble performance and much more. Each participant will have an opportunity to take part in large and small group activities. The two week intensive summer workshop will culminate in a full musical presentation which will be open to the public.
