This course includes the following topics: atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding concepts, stoichiometric relationships, gas laws, periodic properties, acid-base relationships, some descriptive chemistry, oxidation-reduction, and an introduction to chemical equilibrium. Prerequisites: one year of high school chemistry, or a "C" in CHEM 100; and an ACCUPLACER college algebra score of 50, or a "C" in MATH 125 or higher
