Dental Hygiene Clinic 2

DEHY 121
2 CR

This course is a combination of dental hygiene theory class and clinical practice. In the theory class students continue to refine their knowledge of the dental hygiene process of care by beginning to develop treatment plans for periodontally-involved patients. During instrumentation labs and using mannequins, students are introduced to advanced instrumentation techniques specifically for providing non-surgical periodontal therapies. Students then implement these treatment plans and advanced techniques with their patients in the clinical setting under the supervision of clinical instructors. Successful completion of this course is mandatory for continuing in the program. Lab Fee
