 Career Pathway – Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial Technology Kellogg Community College is introducing an Associate in Applied Science Program in Production Technology as a response to recent demands from industry to place technical personnel into supervisory or management positions. Many of the courses are offered at the Regional Manufacturing Technology Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in the Fort Custer Industrial Park that has the very latest in manufacturing equipment for training purposes. Students will benefit from increased flexibility in scheduling, with classes being available both during the day and evening for full- and part-time students. They will also have the opportunity to design their own program from a broad “menu”of technical courses that aren’t loaded with prerequisites or heavy sequencing. The program has been designed to provide students with a broad technical background that enables them to either enter the workforce directly or transfer to a four-year college or university upon graduation. General Education These required courses provide general skills in communication, writing, and numerical problem solving that are necessary in carrying out normal job-orientated functions, as well as helping to develop an articulate, healthy, well-informed citizen.
