Learning Technologies at KCC focuses on the effective use of instructional technology in education and provides assistance to faculty and staff for instructional computing projects, offers workshops and informational events, and investigates new technology for instructional use.


How do I get started?

Need help registering for the Online Learner Orientation?


  1. Log in to the KCC portal.
  2. In the lower right KRIS block, click on “KRIS for Students”.
  3. Click on “Registration”.
  4. Choose “Search/Register for Sections”.
  5. Under “Semester”, select a semester.
    NOTE: A section of the Online Learner Orientation is always open. You may need to register for a section that appears in an upcoming semester, but the course will be available prior to the official semester start.
  6. Under “Subject”, select “Online Learner Orientation”.
  7. Click the “Submit” button.
  8. Check the box to the left of the course title (KCCS C100-90 Online Learner Orientation).
  9. Click the “Submit” button.

Get started

  1. The course will appear in the KCC portal in the My Classes box (this may take up to 20 minutes after registration).
  2. Click on the course title (15/SP Online Learner Orientation (KCCS C100-90)). This link will take you to Moodle.
  3. Click on the course title again from within Moodle. This will take you into the course.
  4. Once in the course, you will see only one link “Start by clicking here: Welcome”.
