Kay White received her B.S. from Los Angeles University and her M.A. in Community College Education from Western Michigan
University. In 1961, she married Leon White and they raised a son and a daughter together.
Her career began at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and brought her many opportunities later at Oakland Children’s Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center Children’s Hospital, Yale Michigan Hospital, and Leila Hospital in Battle Creek.
Mrs. White became a Kellogg Community College nursing instructor in pediatrics in the mid 70’s until her passing in 1991.
Kay White Memorial Scholarships was established in her honor by faculty and staff of KCC and family and friends.
The Kay White Memorial Scholarship is designated for second year nursing students at Kellogg Community College.
