Scholarship Dinners

Bid A Brighter Future Bid a Brighter Future: Auction . . . to Benefit the KCC Foundation General Scholarship Fund will celebrate its seventh year in January. The KCC employee auction was first held in 2004, the result of an innovative idea from Dr. Dennis Bona, Vice President of Instruction.

Since that first auction, thousands of dollars have been contributed for the benefit of KCC student scholarship awards. Last year’s auction raised almost $11,000 from gifts and services donated by KCC staff, faculty and administrators.

This year the Bid a Brighter Future Auction committee hopes to broaden the opportunity to participate and invites KCC retirees and adjunct instructors to join their colleagues in the fun and excitement of the auction.

The Starfish Award honors and recognizes faculty and staff of Kellogg Community College for excellence in education. Nominations for the award are submitted by graduating KCC students. The Starfish Award is presented at the annual Commencement Breakfast, which will be held at McCamly Place on May 13, 2010.
