Options for Giving
There are several options available for individuals, organizations, or businesses to provide scholarship funds for deserving students. Most contributors are community members, faculty and staff, alumni and others who know the important difference education can make.

Please download the Scholarship Agreement form if you would like to establish a scholarship.

Matching Gifts - "Valuing Charitable Gifts"
Matching Gift Programs are available at many businesses. It is not uncommon for companies to double or even triple the value of an employee’s charitable contribution to the KCC Foundation. To begin your matching gift program, contact your company’s personnel office to obtain the necessary forms.

Program and Scholarship Endowments
Major gifts of $10,000 and up given in perpetuity, as memorials or tributes to individuals, by family and friends or by corporations or associations. Such gifts are payable as a one-time donation or over five years. The principal is never spent. Endowed funds are invested with interest spent in accord with the policies of the Foundation, which are available upon request but are subject to change as dictated by market and economic conditions. All endowed funds are recognized through creation of a portrait of the individual for whom the fund is named, an individual brochure and a place on the KCC Foundation Donor Wall. Each fall, endowment donors are invited to our annual scholarship luncheon to meet the recipients of their scholarship(s).

Named Scholarships
Gifts of any amount are accepted; however, donations of $1,500 and over can be considered a "Named Scholarship" in which the donor can "Name" the scholarship and set criteria. To name a scholarship, the donor pledges to provide support for three consecutive years. Each fall, scholarship donors are invited to our annual scholarship luncheon to meet the recipients of their scholarship(s).

Educational Initiatives
The Foundation promotes and encourages gifts for specific program needs identified by the faculty of KCC. Such additional monetary support enriches the lives of KCC students providing them with a well-rounded educational experience.

Gold Key Scholarships
This unique three-year program offers an extension for students to continue their education after completing coursework at KCC. The donor agrees to provide a gift of $2,500 for the first and second years followed by a gift of $1,000 to be used for educational pursuits after completing a two-year degree at KCC. Each October, the Gold Key and Trustee Scholarship recipients are invited to attend a dinner and program with Gold Key supporters, Board of Trustees and the Foundation Board of Directors.

Planned Gifts
The Heritage Circle includes those who have indicated a bequest or future gift in a will, estate or through life insurance. If you have made provisions for a planned gift, please make us aware so that we may add you name to our Heritage Circle and our donor wall located in the Student Center.
