Course Technology Options

Online courses: Course exclusively online using Blackboard and web-based course activities.  Successful online students typically manage time well to complete tasks independently, are comfortable learning course information by reading assignments and text materials, communicate effectively in writing, and ask for help when needed. Hybrid courses: Class time is split between the classroom and online coursework in Blackboard; course has reduced classroom time on campus but increased Internet activities.

Web-enhanced courses: Traditional, face to face, course with a companion web site or course site in Blackboard.  These courses are not identified separately in the schedule since most college courses now require use of a computer and the Internet.

ITV (Interactive TV) courses: Course using audio, video and computer technology to deliver instruction between Battle Creek and the Eastern Academic Center; some students in both classrooms (instructor in either classroom).
