Employee E-mail
All Kellogg Community College regular, part-time, and adjunct employees will be required to have and use a GroupWise e-mail account.
Novell GroupWise is a comprehensive electronic mail and scheduling software application. It includes options that enable you to send items such as mail messages with attached files, appointments, tasks, and notes. You can schedule yourself and other peoples for events. Advanced scheduling techniques allow you to perform a "Busy Search" to determine when multiple people are available for a meeting.
Other tools enable you to organize your incoming and outgoing mail and print your calendar. You may even choose to track the status on an item that you have sent out so you know when it has been opened, deleted, accepted, or completed.
There are two methods for accessing your e-mail account; Web Access and Client. Web Access allows you to use a standard web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer) and logging into the web portal. GroupWise Client requires software that can only be used on a campus computer. This software can be found on employee, faculty, and adjunct faculty computers. It is also installed in the PDC training lab.
Off campus e-mail access is provided through the web portal. Click on Web Portal and enter your username and universal password.
