Microsoft Office 2007

Kellogg Community College moved to Office 2007 January 2008. As we prepared for this transition, all faculty and staff went through training sessions or watched screencasts to learn about the changes in Office 2007. Students will also need to understand how to use Office 2007 software.
Training resources you can use
Several training options are available to introduce you to the new features of Office 2007:
Microsoft tools, tutorials and demos
Training is offered on a continual basis and the schedule is available from the Training Workshops web page. An Introduction to Office 2007 course is offered, with application specific workshops offered based on demand (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Most courses are 60 -90 minutes in length and include hand-on activities. These courses are open to faculty and staff and registration is required for all workshops. The registration page will tell you what courses are still open and allow you to register for a class. After completing the form you will receive an emailed response regarding the confirmation of your registration.
KCC's Microsoft license agreement allows employees to install any of our purchased Microsoft software on your home computer. You can create a work order then stop in at the Help Desk and pickup the software. Prior to checking out the Office 2007 software you might want to review the Microsoft Office 2007 system requirements to make sure that the software will run on your home computer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the help desk.
Please let us know how we can improve our services to meet your needs and the needs of the students.
