Unable to log into KRIS

KRIS Screen

After successfully logging into the Web Portal and logging into KRIS you should see this KRIS screen giving you these options. Students are able to click the link, KRIS for Students, faculty are able to click the link, KRIS for Faculty, and employees are able to click the link, KRIS for Employees.

Situation 1 - After successfully logging into the Web Portal, you click on the KRIS link and the screen pops up "Transferring to the KRIS system" but it comes back to the e-mail portion. This is usually a pop-up blocker issue. If the browser has any toolbars such as; google, yahoo, or any other toolbar, it is causing the problem. These toolbars have their own pop-up blocker within the toolbar.

Resolution - If you are unable to disable the pop-up blocker within the toolbar, it is best to uninstall the toolbars. To uninstall the toolbars, go to the control panel and uninstall them. This will correct the problem.

Situation 2 - After successfully logging into the Web Portal, you click on the KRIS link and the screen pops up "Transferring to the KRIS system" and when KRIS comes up you don't see the Kris for Students, KRIS for Faculty, or KRIS for Employees links. It looks like this...

KRIS 800X600 Screen

Resolution - There may be a couple of reasons you do not see the links. One might be not having the KRIS window fully maximized (fill up all the space on the desktop area) or generally it is caused by a resolution setting. The screen above is showing a display resolution of 800X600. For the KRIS windows it has to be a minimum of 1024X768 for a display resolution. To check the display settings make sure everything is either closed or minimized on the desktop. Right-click the desktop and go to Display Settings (for Vista) or the settings tab (for windows XP). Here you can change the resolution.
