How to create a vacation rule using WebAccess

Creating a vacation rule using WebAccess is much easier than creating a rule using GroupWise desktop client. Follow the steps below to create your vacation rule.

Step 1 - After logging into the web portal click the 'Options' link located on the Novell GroupWise WebAccess main window.

Step 2 - From the Options dialog box, click the 'Rules' tab.

Step 3 - From the Rules tab, Options dialog box click the 'Create' button.

Step 4 - From the 'Create Rule - Vacation' dialog box, enter a rule name. See example below. Click in the 'Subject:' box and type a subject line. See example below. Click in the 'Message' box and type your message. See example below. After completing all the necessary information, click 'Save'.

Step 5 - Notice the check mark, in the box, in front of vacation. This means the vacation rule is turned on. Click 'Save' to activate the vacation rule.

Step 6 - Notice the rule activate status is saved, click 'Close'.

Step 7 - Remember when you return from vacation, log back into the web portal, click the 'Options' link, click click the 'Rules' tab and uncheck the box in front of vacation to turn the rule off or delete the rule. When you're finished, click save and close.
