Academic Web Server and Faculty Accounts
An "academic web server" has been established by Kellogg Community College to provide an opportunity for faculty to post web-based material on the Internet. Faculty-created web sites are hosted on the academic web server and content may include material such as course information, syllabi, and other instructional material.
To develop web-based content, faculty can request an account. Faculty can create web pages using SharePoint Designer or Dreamweaver and publish the web pages on the academic web server. Use of this software allows faculty to create web pages without needing to know HTML code.
When publishing content on the academic web server, faculty have to adhere to KCC's academic web policy and the College's guidelines for computer and communication technology use.
