Associate in Arts Degree
The Associate in Arts is designed for students preparing to transfer to a four-year institution. The requirements in this degree are designed to fulfill the general education learning outcomes requirements.
Associate in General Studies Degree
The purpose of the Associate in General Studies is to recognize completion of the requirements for a degree at Kellogg Community College. The requirements in this degree are designed to fulfill the general education learning outcomes requirements.
Associate in Science Degree
The Associate in Science is designed for students preparing to transfer to a four-year institution. The requirements in this degree are designed to fulfill the general education learning outcomes.
Degree and Certificate Requirements
Candidates for a degree or certificate from Kellogg Community College must meet the following specific requirements:
- An associate degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 62 semester hours of credit with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
- Certificates will be awarded to students who complete the required course work with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
- To earn an associate degree, at least 24 hours of credit must be successfully completed at Kellogg Community College.
- A maximum of 60% of the credit hours required for a degree or certificate may be documented and transferred to Kellogg Community College.
- General Education Learning Outcomes: All students receiving a degree from Kellogg Community College will gain general education learning outcomes. These outcomes will be met through the general education core courses required for your degree. Please see specific program guides on pages 37 - 89 in the College Catalog..
