You are eligible to receive
free tutoring at KCC if you:

Request a Tutor form (available
online)

- Have met your class attendance requirement
- Have met the prerequisite of the course

We do our best to accommodate all requests. It is important to note that not all tutoring is done one-on-one. You may also be in a session with more than one student in the same course.
We will be unable to provide tutoring

prerequisites for the course you are
requesting assistance for.
- The course you registered for
was not recommended for you by an
Academic Advisor. We encourage all students to adhere to the recommendation of academic advising.
- You are requesting tutoring for
an online course, a telecourse, or
an independent study course.
- You miss two tutoring sessions
without 24-hour prior notification
to the Tutor or the Support Services
Department.
Please read the following important information regarding our Tutoring Policy:
- To provide the best service possible, it may be necessary for us to contact your instructor.
- The maximum number of hours per week you can
receive tutoring cannot exceed the total number
of credit hours of the course you are being
tutored for (for example, a maximum of three

- If you miss two tutoring sessions without 24-hour
prior notification to the Tutor or the Support Services Department, we will be unable to provide assistance for the remainder of the semester.
- All students are to behave in a manner that
is respectful. Any behavioral problems by
students are addressed under the Student Code of
