Career Pathways are clusters of specific occupations or careers grouped together because they share similar interests, strengths, and skills. 

The Career Pathway System offers: 

• A career development plan for everyone. 
• Basic skill development to help you reach your goals.
  
• A variety of occupational choices, appropriate for every different level of training.
  
• Maximum flexibility in the career decision-making process, allowing you to move between pathways at any time without a gap or penalty.
  
• A way to discover the relevance of your courses to actual occupations and careers.
  
• An opportunity to assess your own performance, improve where necessary, and attain personal and career goals. 
  

KCC provides learning opportunities for students in a variety of formats:  traditional, open-entry/open-exit, and online learning over the Internet. The six career pathways used by area high schools are used to organize the programs and courses offered at KCC. This format makes it easier for students when selecting classes in their pathway of interest.
