Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is the modern incarnation of a Chinese energy art that goes back over 2,000 years. Related to t'ai chi, qigong is a series of movements designed to bring qi, or life-force, into the body and encourage it to flow without blockage. These gentle movements from the ancient Chinese art of self-healing can help you gain fitness and maintain youthful health and vitality. You will be introduced to the practice of qigong through a program that incorporates postures, movement, breath, sound and visualization.
