Admission The Nurses Aide Training program is an 80.5 contact hour, 3 credit course that is approved by the State of Michigan, Department of Consumer and Industry Services. The course consists of 28 hours classroom, 27 hours laboratory, and 25.5 hours clinical instruction hours with a major emphasis on long term care. At the completion of this two-week program, students receive a certificate eligible for clinical skills and knowledge testing to achieve the Completed Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA) status. The testing is available at the Kellogg Community College Regional Test site that is located in the Testing and Assessment Center on the Battle Creek campus.
The Nurses Aide Training Program is offered about 10 times per calendar year on the Battle Creek campus with clinical experiences in local long term facilities. It is also available approximately five times per year at The Branch Area Career Center in Coldwater and approximately five times per year at the Eastern Academic Center in Albion.
