At the completion of this two-week program, students receive a certificate eligible for clinical skills and knowledge testing to achieve the Completed Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA) status. The testing is available at the Kellogg Community College Regional Test site that is located in the Testing and Assessment Center on the Battle Creek campus.

The Nurses Aide Training Program is offered about 10 times per calendar year on the Battle Creek campus with clinical experiences in local long term facilities. It is also available approximately five times per year at The Branch Area Career Center in Coldwater and approximately five times per year at the Eastern Academic Center in Albion.

1. High school diploma or GED or Compass reading assessment score of at least 62 or a grade of "C" or better in STSK 98.
2. Negative TB test (not older than one year).
3. White uniform and shoes.
4. Negative criminal background history.

Program Requirements:

1. Register for Nursing 105 (sections vary depending on date of class).
   
2. Register for liability insurance.
   
3. Students may register at the Customer Service Center in Battle Creek, the Grahl Center in Coldwater, and the Eastern Academic Center in Albion.
4. Students may be sponsored by a cooperating agency
