Vicki VanAmeyden

Vicki VanAmeyden received her MFA from Western Michigan University with a concentration in painting and printmaking. Her works have been exhibited in regional and national juried competitions across the United States, including the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art and the Artlink Contemporary Art Gallery. Her work has been acknowledged with awards at both the regional and national levels and includes a Lila Acheson Wallace Award for illustration. In 2003, she was invited to participate in the East Meets West Exchange Print Exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan.
A lifelong resident of southwest Michigan, Vicki is an artist and art educator who works in a variety of mediums, but remains loyal to the act of drawing. She teaches drawing, painting and printmaking courses for the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and foundation studio art courses at Western Michigan University. Vicki is also adjunct faculty in the Arts and Communications Department at Kellogg Community College.

Website: www..maureenmac.comMaureen McInerney started making photographs at the young age of 12, after receiving her first SLR from her Father. She shot for the high school year book and went on to study Photography at Columbia College Chicago. Some of teachers she studied with were the talented: Jay Wolke, John H. White, Chuck Reynolds, and Arthur Lazar. Columbia College purchased several pieces of her work into their permanent collection, two hang currently in their library. She was also awarded several scholarships, including the Clay Martin Scholarship, while attending the school. Group shows include: ARC Gallery, Randolph Street Gallery, and more. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 1992. Working freelance, she ran her own business for several years shooting events, portraits, rock bands, and some ad work. After getting a job teaching 7-10 year old children photography at the school Francis Parker, she decided to go to Graduate School in New York. After graduating with an MFA from The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, she continued to live and work in that city. Her publications/shows include: Art News, Simon Says, Ovation TV, Naftali Gallery, SVA Gallery, and The Sander Print Collection. (operated by the family of August Sander) Maureen moved back to the midwest in 2000, and got a job at Columbia College Chicago, teaching Introductory Photography. After marrying and moving to Michigan, and taking the name Mleczewski, she taught at KVCC, and currently teaches Photography and History of Photography, at KCC in Battle Creek, MI.
