Should I do observations or volunteer work?

Applicants to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program are encouraged to visit physical therapy departments in their area to observe what Physical Therapist Assistants do, and to talk with them about their career.  

It is also strongly recommended that applicants observe in a variety of physical therapy settings to help feel more sure about his/her career decision.  

Some facilities are unable to accept "observers" due to HIPAA and confidentiality laws, so when inquiring, please keep this in mind.
