Career Pathway—Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial Technology
The Federal Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (U.S. Department of Labor) recognizes Kellogg Community College as the agency approved for delivery of trade-related instruction for local registered apprenticeship programs. The majority of this instruction is delivered through the Regional Manufacturing Technology Center. If you are enrolled in apprenticeship training, you must be sponsored by a company that has programs approved by and registered with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. These programs generally consist of four years of on-the-job training that is typically accompanied by 600-800 contact hours of formal training through KCC/RMTC. Successful completion of these programs will result in the awarding by the Bureau of their nationally-recognized journeyperson’s certificate.

Shown below is a representative sample of the types of apprenticeship programs available through Kellogg Community College and the RMTC, but it should be noted that a wide variety of other programs can also be tailored to fit an individual company’s needs.

Many other programs are available. The specific topics and hours of related trade instruction may vary by employer and nature of the job. Kellogg Community College will assist companies in developing a quality program or upgrading existing programs to meet today’s changing industrial standards.
