The Computing Technology Industry Association’s A+ certification program assures the competency of hardware service technicians in the computer industry. Students can study for the nationally recognized A+ credential as a computer service technician by taking CET 260 to prepare for the A+ certification examination.

CompTIA Security+ is a foundation-level certification for the Information Technology professional who has day-to-day information security responsibilities. Cisco Certified Network ADMINISTRATOR Certification (CCNA)
Cisco Systems is a world leader in networking equipment for the Internet and has created the Cisco Networking Academies Program to train and certify IT professionals to build and maintain complex LAN and WANs. There are four courses in the Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) program. These courses will prepare students to take the industry-endorsed CCNA certification examination.

Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist Certification
As organizations adopt wireless LAN technology, they require qualified professionals who can design, install, support, and operate a wireless LAN solution. The following course prepares a student for the CCNA + Cisco 9EO-581 certification exam and to achieve the Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist designation. BICSI Installer, Level 1 Registration
With the dramatic growth in the number of communications networks being installed, the industry is in need of people with skills to read network design documentation, determine and purchase cabling equipment, pull and mount cable, manage cable, select wiring closets, terminate cable at patch panels, install jacks, and test cable. The following course is offered through the Cisco Academy and is sponsored by Panduit. This course provides the student with the preparation necessary to take the BICSI Level 1 Commercial Installer exam. Students will receive a certificate of completion that states the course is endorsed by the Communication Workers of America (CWA).

Oracle Database Administrator Certificate
Databases are used to store various types of data for organizations in formal structures using database management systems. Database systems range from the single-user, PC-oriented Microsoft Access to enterprise-wide systems, such as Oracle. An organization’s database administrator (DBA) serves in several roles. Typical DBA tasks include designing and constructing the databases, administering user privileges and security, routine backups and restoration, disaster recovery planning and implementation, network administration, and performance tuning. While the courses for this certificate are designed to prepare the student for a role as an Oracle DBA (and for sitting for the Oracle DBA certification exams), the concepts learned can be applied to a wide range of database systems.
