Thirty-two (32) credit hours must be completed to be awarded this KCC certificate as a Database Administrator. If a student only wishes to sit for the Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) exams, the six credit hours in DBA 251 and 252 prepare them for the Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) exams 1Z0-007 and 1Z0-031. The Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) designation requires the OCA exams plus an additional six hours in DBA 253 and 254 to prepare for OCP exams 1Z0-032 and 1Z0-033.

Note: Students with professional information technology experience with either programming and/or databases may request a waiver of prerequisites for courses DBA 251 and DBA 252 by contacting the Information Technology Department Director at (269) 965-3931, ext. 2269.
