STEP 4: CHANGING YOUR UNIVERSAL PASSWORD

Policy for Student Password Changes

Students who require their password to be reset in order to access the KCC Web Portal will need to properly identify themselves with a picture ID and their KCC identification number at a KCC site. Students are able to seek assistance by going to the Customer Service area, Regional Center offices, and many Student Services departments to reset a password. Students who take only online courses and live a distance from the College and its regional Centers may call one of the offices listed above to verify if they can have their password reset without traveling to a KCC site.

At the top of the Web Portal Screen select the Universal Password Management link.

The main Password Management screen will be displayed. From here you will be able to change your password, setup your password hints, return to the Web Portal or return to the KCC Home Page. You will have 5 minutes to complete your password functions. This is a security feature in case you leave your computer.

Once your password change is confirmed, you must wait 5 minutes before trying to log back into KRIS or into a workstation on campus. This will allow the new password to be updated with the other applications. When 5 minutes has elapsed, you can use your new Universal Password for the Portal and workstations across campus.
