Avionics Technician

Students in the Avionics Technician program at the RMTC have a complete learning experience utilizing the latest in aircraft instrumentation and equipment. They learn to install, repair, and calibrate aircraft-related equipment, instruments, and gages. Hands-on training is the heart of the Avionics Technician Program. In our professionally equipped avionics lab, students will gain real-world experience working with the types of instrumentation found on aircraft of all types and sizes.

At your RMTC, we have the latest in learning materials and training equipment to provide you with a complete training experience. Students start with learning general electronics skills, and then move on to utilize those skills in specific avionics applications. Of course, the best training equipment in the world is worthless without highly capable trainers. Our trainers are not only experienced in teaching avionics, but they have several years of practical experience as well.

The career opportunities for Avionics Technicians are very bright, and the income to be earned is among the highest for industry-based technicians of all types. It is not unusual to find an income range of $40,000 - $65,000* per year for a well-trained Avionics Technician. This indicates the high status accorded people in this field as well as the relatively high level of demand for the services of Avionics Technicians.
