Electricity/Electronics/Instrumentation

Qualified Industrial Electricians are in high demand across the United States. This profession can be demanding, but also very rewarding. Without functioning electrical systems and equipment, industry would come to a screeching halt. This means excellent job security and high income potential for industrial electricians.

Incomes for well-trained Industrial Electricians can range from $35,000 - $65,000* per year. A newer, high-demand area in the electrical trades involves the programming and troubleshooting of PLC's, or Programmable Logic Controllers. These are the "brains" that run much of the machinery of industry today, and that is why the RMTC is heavily involved in training students in all aspects of PLC’s

Professional RMTC Instructors teach people who are involved in:

  • Employer training programs
  • Apprenticeship program through the U.S. Department of Labor
  • Gaining skills to become readily employable
  • KCC Certificate or Associate Degree programs

A large portion of the Electricity/Electronics Program involves hands-on training under the guidance of an experienced professional in the trade. This means that students can develop skills to be successful in their jobs, and sponsors can enjoy the high-quality results of the investment they have made in their student-employees in the shortest time possible.
