TELECOURSES
Summer 2006 Telecourse Schedule
How does it work?
- A telecourse requires the same amount of study time and effort as a traditionally-delivered course.
- After you register and near the course start date, a letter with a learning agreement and information about the course will be mailed to you. Complete the learning agreement and return it to the Telecourse Office. (If the learning agreement is not returned, the instructor has the option of dropping you from the course.)
- Purchase the textbook and any other required materials.
- Using the course syllabus as a guide, study the textbook and supplemental material, view the telecourse programs, complete homework assignments, consult with the instructor as needed, and take tests at KCC.
- Except for an orientation and a midsemester session, there are no required class meeting times. Though tests have to be taken at a KCC campus, the tests can be taken at any time during the hours the service is available. The first exam or assignment should be accomplished within the first two weeks of the start date.
- The course has to be completed by the end of the semester. Some instructors have specific due dates during the semester by which learning activities must be completed to ensure the correct pace toward completing the course.
