Bruins Give Back

Next Dates: February 17th, March 23rd and April 20th
Bruins Give Back with Habitat for Humanity. The men's baseball team is joining in December's Bruins Give Back. The men, along with other students from KCC, will be working for Habitat for Humanity.

VITA Program

Community Action is looking for volunteers for its VITA Program! The VITA Program offers free tax assistance to families and individuals that qualify based on income. All training is provided by Community Action. If you are interested, please contact Courtney Ziny at courtneyz@caascm.org or Amanda Deslauriers at deslauriersa@kellogg.edu for more information. Don't wait too long! Training start at the beginning of January. This is a great opportunity for all majors, especially Business or Human Services.

AVAIL Project

Spring 2012
This is a chance to work with at risk youth in the Battle Creek Community. Mentor students at an alternative high school. Meet with the kids once a week and work through a planned curriculum with them. All of the classes will culminate in a large service project planned with the students.

Kellogg Community College Spring 2012 Volunteer and Civic Engagement Fair

When: Thursday, February 2nd 11am-1:30 pm
Where: KCC Student Center
What: Between 25-30 local non-profits will be coming to the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Fair to talk with students and faculty about their organizations mission, hand out information, and sign up potential volunteers. This fair is great for students who are interested in earning a service-learning endorsement on their transcript or anyone who would like to become engaged in the community! Snacks and door prizes will be given away too!
