Student Rights & Responsibilities

Rights. Respect. Responsibility. How you conduct yourself in class and as an individual on this campus is how you will define yourself while a student at KCC, and that’s what our Student Code of Conduct is all about.

  • Students have the right to explore, learn and succeed.
  • Students have the responsibility to be active, engaged and prepared.
  • Every member of the Bruin community deserves respect.

The purpose of the Student Code of Conduct at KCC is to protect and preserve a positive learning environment for the College community by clearly articulating conduct prohibited by the College and identifying the rights of individuals in the process. Learn more about the policies and procedures related to the Student Code of Conduct in the KCC Student Handbook.

Every member of the Bruin community is encouraged to report incidents that may include safety concerns, College policy violations, any and all forms of sexual misconduct, as well as general concerns for your fellow Bruins. Reporting incidents is done via an online form and can be done anonymously.

In the case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
