DANTES is a nationally recognized credit-by-examination program available at KCC. Tests are available in over 30 subject titles in the areas of Social Science, Business, Mathematics, Applied Technology, Humanities and Physical Science.

The fee for DSSTs is $60 per exam payable to the DANTES Program by money order or credit card only, and a separate non-refundable fee of $15 paid to Kellogg Community College.

Successful completion of a DSST may be used as transfer credit for an equivalent KCC course, or results can be sent to other colleges for credit. Kellogg Community College generally grants credit for scores that meet the recommendations determined by the American Council on Education.

Anyone may take DSSTs at the test center for transfer to any college that accepts credit. DSSTs are administered only on a prepaid prescheduled basis. If you are interested in taking a DSST, contact the testing center. The $15 fee per test must be paid before we can order your exam. Testing appointments are arranged on an individual basis.
