IMPORTANT: Due to the U.S. Department Of Education’s delay in releasing 2024-2025 student FAFSA information, financial aid awards for fall 2024 are momentarily delayed.

To allow additional time for financial aid awarding, students must pay in full or enroll in a payment plan on or before July 9 to avoid being dropped from 2024 Fall courses. KCC’s 24 hour payment policy will resume July 10 for the 2024 Fall semester.

If you are expecting to receive financial aid, please wait to sign up for the Nelnet payment plan after registering for fall 2024 until you have received your award letter from the Financial Aid Office.

To accommodate for this temporary issue, students will not be dropped from fall 2024 registration. Automatic drops are paused until July 9 with the expectation of financial aid award letters being sent to eligible students no later than July 9.

Students are encouraged to continue checking their Bruin Portal Financial Aid Self Service and student email for updates.

Credit When It’s Due

Did you know you can earn your associate degree from KCC even after you transfer to a university? When students transfer from Kellogg Community College to a university, they can still obtain an associate degree even after they’ve begun their studies at a new college. KCC has reverse transfer agreements in place with Western Michigan University, Grand Valley State University and others so our Bruins can earn an associate degree with the help of credits earned at their university. It’s one more way KCC looks out for our students and makes sure they receive credit when credit’s due.
