STUDENT RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Kellogg Community College (KCC) student, you are entitled to certain rights and are expected to uphold specific responsibilities. These rights and responsibilities set the foundation for the College to promote a safe and successful learning environment for all of our students. College policies and procedures are aimed at protecting those rights while also detailing critical campus safety information.

Student Responsibilities

Counseling - Bruins Care

Self-care and overall wellbeing is an important factors to the campus environment. If you want to connect with a licensed KCC counselor or want to refer someone else for counseling, let us know by submitting a Bruins Care

Incident Reporting

As a member of the Bruin community, you have the right and responsibility to report incidents that may compromise the positive campus environment we strive for. Explore your reporting options at the Report an Incident page. 

Title IX - Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and/or Misconduct

Title IX is a federal regulation that provides students protection from sexual harassment, sex- or gender-based discrimination, or sexual misconduct.

Safe Campus Training

KCC wants to collaborate with students in creating a fun, healthy, and vibrant campus community. As part of that commitment, we expect all students to complete Safe Campus Training, an engaging online, research-based program that provides a unique learning experience regarding important prevention skills and strategies for our students. You will learn about healthy relationships, the importance of consent and being a good communicator, and the many ways you can help create the safe, positive campus you want to be a part of.
